After Uncle Ned gives an obviously dumb answer, just as the host is about to say "aw, that's ok!" the Inquizitor (in luchador get-up, because remember, we don't get to see his face) runs onstage, powerbombs the host, and orders Uncle Ned to leave the stage for giving such an awful answer.
The first time I read this, you had the Inquizitor powerbombing Uncle Ned. I'd watch that show.

This made me laugh SO loud.

Was it because nobody buzzed-in during the Face-Off? If that was the case, then why throw out the segment?
Because that's the rule now.  If both members in the Face-Off whiff, they throw the Q out.

If you want to watch a game show with stern hosts eviscerating contestants who give wrong answers, University Challenge is in the quarter-finals, and Weakest Link seems to be on three times a week in the UK, and I'll happily help you get an invite if I can. If you would rather have a genial host giving encouragement to the players and an aura of Everyone Is Having A Good Time, then I would suggest pointing your browser at wkar.org and finding Mister Ottinger's Neighborhood.

(Really, QB Jr. is a nice program and a really good practice/warm up to get youngsters into quiz bowl and worth a sterling recommendation just on those points.)

Likely.  It also would've made the one GSN show last a whole lot longer.

/Well, either that or somebody gave an answer the show couldn't put on-air.
Neither, actually. The question was asked, and the first player that buzzed in gave the #1 answer, and after it was revealed on the board, the stage manager ran out and said there was a "problem" with the question.

And it's been policy since the Louie version that if both contestants strike out at the faceoff, they play a new question. This even carried over into the PC game.

You're in a room. You're wearing a silly hat.

Mister Ottinger? You sure it's not Canadian curler Kevin Martin, eh?

Wow, that's....unsettling.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Did anybody state what the "problem" was? Wouldn't it be funny if the "problem" was that particular contestant giving that particular answer?[/sarcasm]

My dad and I have always joked that if we ever made a game show, it'd be called "Get the F*** out!" Pretty much after someone got eliminated or lost, the host would tell the person "You lost, now get the f*** off my stage." :D More of a raunchy version of Anne telling people that they were the weakest link, goodbye.

Matt - if you want unsettling - take note of the New Zealand sports commentator on Prime, which showed the olympics over here - "Kevin Martin is the sex symbol of these games".

Enjoy,
Ryan.
