I'd sure like to know where you got that from considering that most of the news coming out of TPIR (from my hearings) is that Drew doesn't treat the employees as shabbily as Barker did.
You have to take that thought very carefully around the guy who made the initial comment about people being 'happy.' It IS true that Drew probably isn't doing the things Bob did, however, to that person, that's a substitute for 'happy' - notice all the vitrol being thrown at GR.net over the Dobkowitz debacle? Go look on GSN and you'll see this guy doing the exact same thing over the firings of a couple models over the past 15 years.

The source I've gotten this from is someone with connections to CBS who is familiar with the situation at the show; he was the first to report at least two firings as I recall (Jeff Thisted and Bart Eskander) and has said at least twice that there is an environment of fear in the staff over who will be terminated next.
But last I checked Drew is not the executive producer of the show and therefore has no say in who's hired or fired...
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

Tell me where that doesn't happen in today's economy.

That's true.  We don't even know why these people were canned.  It was just assumed because of Drew not perhaps a bad economy and no one does anything to stop the conversation and say "Hey, we don't know for sure that's why they were let go."  No the dissemination of misinformation is allowed because it fits the "agenda."

Actually, they were posted on the G-R forums by a CBS staffer in Television City and someone who works in Fremantle's offices -- not that you're in a position to know that.
I mean, don't you think that there's a logical correlation that if Drew feels more comfortable, his hosting skills are better off?
That's a good point.  I noticed, too, that the first three sets of shows with Rich DiPirro directing were some of the best episodes Drew's ever done, which makes me wonder if that had anything to do with why he got rid of Bart Eskander.  (As I've said before, Bart's was the one firing this year that deserved to happen.)

Drew has every bit as much power at that show as Bob Barker did.

Do you have any named sources that can back up that statement?

Well, that certainly isn't why Dana was fired -- she was replaced by two new people.  And it's been stated flat-out that "Drew fired the director," and it's not really his job to worry about the budget.

I would certainly think the Fremantle employee who came onto G-R and posted, "Drew fired the director," qualifies, even though I don't know what his or her actual name is.

Fair enough.  You'll forgive me, though, if I don't believe you any more than PYLdude believes me.

(Interestingly, though, if you are telling the truth, you've just proven that Price's staff is more interested in what G-R thinks than you are.)

EDIT:  Come to think of it, I've spent most of the past year ridiculing various idiotic things Price's staff has done.  You don't exactly need connections there to figure out that any of them who've bothered to look at who I am probably aren't crazy about me.

Trust me.  I know you're not an idiot because you do put some well devised arguments together at times, but you can't deny the fact they don't care what you think.  In many cases they've done the exact opposite of your site's suggestions demands.  Again, trust me, they aren't listening.

Actually, there've been several times this year where we've complained about things, and a month or two down the road, they did change them.  So I'm more inclined to believe that yeah, they are listening.

I've got to know -- what is it that causes you to automatically decide that anything I try to tell you isn't true?

Your bias against me and your unwilligness to answer my questions, for two.

Steve, if your information was true then you shouldn't have any problem telling me who gave it to you. You cite these sources at Fremantle...I doubt they're sworn to secrecy.

(Sorry, Joe. Really.)
