Stella Linden is the author of the book "Shameless", published in 1989 by Simon & Schuster.  The blurb states she was an actress and game show hostess.  There is a Stella Linden credited in the late 1960s with a TV script for a Monkees TV show and a film script for the film "Two a Penny".  Would this be the same Stella Linden?  What was the game show for which she acted as hostess?  My guess is it would have been between 1951 and 1975.

Welcome to you, Chris.
In addition to the credits you listed, the only other item I can add to her resume is her role as Hotel Clerk in the 1951 episode of Foreign Intrigue entitled At The Airport. Who knows? Maybe she was the back-up model on The Price Is Right if Paula Pardo couldn't make it.

Thank you, Don.  Her appearance in the "Foreign Intrigue" episode in 1951 ties in with the date she left England for America.  My guess is she was a game show hostess between 1951 and 1967-68 when she got her script-writing gigs.  In 1951 she would have been 31 years old +/- 1 year and photographs taken in 1950 show her with long black hair and a well rounded figure with cuves in all the right places.  It was said that not long after arriving in America she had a "quickie" divorce in Mexico from her English husband.  Is your suggestion she was a back-up for "The Price is Right" speculation, or do you have something firmer to go on?

More pure speculation...

It may be possible that she worked on a local show in the early '50s. Sadly, records for those shows tend to range from "sketchy" to "nonexistent.".

Thank you, Don and Chris.  I can well understand the game show records of fifty years ago are sketchy to nonexistent.  It seems I have hit the proverbial brick wall, but I will keep plugging away at it, and in time a brick may fall!
