If someone can find me a picture of the GSN Ball guy, I can whip something up.  I've got a good shot of some tapes...and I can put them ablaze if you want. :)
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

I think Travis was referring to Winnie, an image of which is here.

I crafted a picture of Winnie in a noose with a tape of SMTM on fire.  Half a cookie, please?

Curiosity strikes me and can't be shaken.
What made the GSN programmers so doggone sure acquiring this show was a good buy?

If worse comes to worse, they could prolly negotiate with Disney to swap money spent on SMTM for some additional plays of Millionaire without too much harm done.

Had they plunked in a double-episode of Now You See It in the same time block, I wonder how well it would have fared in comparison.
Anyone know how the NYSI four-pack did ratings-wise last April?

They need to get the first season of sydnicated Millionaire. That was the best season of the show ever, bar none.

Why do they need to get it?  Haven't Millionaire's ratings been trailing off lately?  I honestly think GSN needs to stop all acquisitions until they have an idea as what direction they want to take the network.

For that matter, who's to say it's not going in the direction they want?  I'm sure they'd prefer higher ratings, but maybe they know the extent of their potential better than we do.

Show Me The Money and syndie Millionaire are recent shows.  That seems to be the direction GSN wants to take - even if a show wasn't successful.  Maybe they figure if they get a channel-surfer catching it by chance, they might stick around.

Maybe 1vs 100 will be coming to GSN soon too! :)

I wouldn't mind seeing those unaired episodes of Winning Lines.
The darned winners were paid; must as well see how they did.
Of course, there is the matter of blocking out the telephone element.

All GSN would have to do is run a disclaimer during the show's first segment saying that the contest is no longer current.  They could take the third segment out of the show completely (it was the one that revealed last week's telephone winner) - the show would be cut down to something like 18 minutes, and they could run extra commercials in place.  That way, we both win.

Since I attended a different show's audition and happened to be in line with a person who made it to the Cover Your Ass round of that unaired episode, here's the results, just for you, Don:
Quote
The eventual winner collected $40,000 on the Wonderwall, and was none too pleased about not winning a whole lot more. Thus, his was the episode that was canned.
/Yeah, Don was probably kidding, but what the hell, for once I had inside information. :)
