"Smarter than a Fifth Grader"
« on: February 25, 2007, 07:36:29 PM »
I'm watching the tail end of the NASCAR race, leading up to Fox's Sunday programming, and I see a commercial for "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" and a question popped into my mind:

Is there an age restriction on the "adults"?  I'm 18 (this trainwreck premieres on my 19th birthday)...could I qualify?  Not that I would want to (or could)...
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

On casting notices, FOX wanted contestants over 25 years old.

In short: if you're old enough to be a Jeff Foxworthy fan ... you MIGHT be a contestant.
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

Am I the only one who saw the topic description and thought, "What does Regis have to do with this show?"

An update: an interview with Jeff Foxworthy about the show from the Atlanta newspaper.

An Atlanta newspaper?  Interviewing Foxworthy?  However did they get access?
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

They trapped him coming out of the Chick-Fil-A in Hapewell.
