A "Rosie" future for Price?
« on: December 08, 2006, 12:27:11 PM »
Rose O'Donnell may bail on The View for a game show host gig.   And apparently, according to the article, she would love to fill Bob Barker's vacancy.

There's also talk of her getting her own sitcom, but that's besides the point.  C'mon, can anyone honestly see this woman hosting TPIR?  Is Fremantle that crazy?  Not a chance... right?

Right?!

Several years ago during the announcer auditions, I asked if it was possible to hire a woman announcer.

I was told no, that the preference was a man. (Numerous reasons I'm sure, not just because of gender).  I'd guess the same goes for a host, but nobody really knows at this point.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Don't buy it a bit.  She's been swearing up and down on "The View" that she's not leaving and that she's enjoying it.  I know that that and 99 cents will get you a beef burrito at Taco Bell, but the whole idea of taking on "TPIR" sounds so outlandish.  (And Moonves would probably not go along.)

And if she is leaving "The View," when offered a choice between a series on basic cable's hottest network and a daytime game show--and if they're paying roughly the same--do you really think she'd take "TPIR?"  Come on.

Just don't order any green onions.

Say, how about Ricki Lake? At least she has a *little* experience at hosting game shows!

Goes great with my "extremely little" joke, and you know we've had it when we start referencing "The Trouble with Tribbles" on this board ...

CBS may want to hire her just to get rid of the competition.  Variety.com is reporting "The View" had its best November sweeps ever since Rosie came on board.

I can't see Rosie O' Donnell taking the reigns of TPiR. She'd feel so bad about the contestants' losing that she'd bankrupt the show by giving them all the prizes anyway.

I just wish everyone would stop talking about "filling Bob Barker's vacancy". Yuck.

Hell, she'd figure out inside of a month that she could give the ones she liked the prizes just by screwing up part of the game.

I don't think Rosie will go to TPIR. Baba Wawa will keep her on The View. After all the ratings have gone up on there, but TPIR still beats the crap out of The View.

And everyone else would get an official "Price Is Right" Koosh Ball and a copy of the Rosie O'Donnell Christmas CD.

Fixed it for you, since I'd rather see the extra word than have the mental picture of you filling Bob Barker's vacancy.
