I wondered how long before this news broke out.  It was on the GSN public ad sales site for at least 4 months before they passworded it up because some people at the GSN boards found their way and rose hell.  Anyway, yeah, I think I may be passing on Catminster on the basis that there are much better things to do than watch a friggin cat show.

On the other hand, with Bob Goen hosting (shot in the dark) maybe this means we can get a second season of That's The Question, which I enjoyed quite a bit.

I'm sure.

Many moons ago, I actually went to a cat show.  The show part wasn't as interesting as the atmosphere*.  TV doesn't typically capture that part, and I doubt this will too, especially if it wants to be Catminster.  Now if they wanted to do the kitty version of Puppy Bowl, then they'd have something.

*-that atmosphere being "Holy crud, there are cats everywhere!"

It looks like GSN has finally done it!  They decided that cats needed their day on TV.  As a cat lover myself, I don't mind.  The problem is not who's hosting it(Bob Goen & his wife), it's how it wants to define itself.  Is GSN really a game show network or a network of games?  Hmm.  This makes me scratch my head like a cat.  If it doesn't pan out, it'll be CAT-astrophic(sorry, couldn't resist).

Is this really any worse than American Dream Derby?  ;-)

There's a Zsa Zsa Gabor/Johnny Carson exchange in there somewhere.  :)

I'd watch it, but I'd probably throw things every time a cat pun game up.  This thread has been good practice ;)

/Cat + A-frame = huh?
