Yeah, I noticed it not soon after I posted this.  Not one of my finer moments.  Thanks.

Neither is your signature. As a supporter of the Special Olympics, I'm offended.

Didn't notice this until you pointed it out.

Looks like someone has competition for the "Tasteless Post of the Week" award.

Grow the hell up.

In fairness, I doubt that gwarman2005 meant to offend anyone; the quote in question is probably the most popular and concise way to explain why arguing on the Internet is often pointless.

That said, it also has no place on our board... figuratively, and now literally.

First of all, I love this new $ale of the Century. But I have two complaints:

1. The game (I believe) won't let me have a tie game, for when the 60 speed round ended in a tie, the program then said, "Return without Gosub".

2. Having the penalty cards from Temptation in the Fame Game was a novel idea. But I'd rather have the randomizer you had in the previous version & the last years of the American show.

Could you something about what I said in #1? And if you'd like you can put the randomizer back where it was.

No, you would like for him to do that.

The problem involving the Tie Breaker for the Main Game Program for $ale of the Century has been fixed. The new Main Game program can now be downloaded at basicgames.folff.com

As far as the randomizer goes, if Temptation would have used a randomizer I would have kept it. But, it doesn't so I didn't.

I see. I guess that was a smart move. But now you left out the intro. But I'm not mad at you, you're just trying that's all. Thanks anyway.

Maybe you don't mean to be, but you're rather self-involved.  Why would he give a flip if you're mad or not?  I'm sure he cares what the general public thinks, not just you.  Have we forgotten how to say please and thank you (and not a flippant 'thanks anyway')?

Agreed. That was an incredibly asshatted comment. Granted, considering this is the same yahoo who edits Wiki articles incorrectly and then defends the edit as being "right to him, so it's right", we shouldn't be surprised.

Oh, so he really is self-involved.  Well then shame on me for trying to help him.

Once, there was a stalled car in the middle of a busy street. Traffic was backed up for miles. Lots and lots of drivers were honking their horns, cursing and yelling at the driver to move his car. But the driver had no jumper cables, no towing mechanisms, not even a cell phone to call a tow truck.

The drivers continued to curse, yell and honk, but one driver did not. One driver, instead, took it upon himself to lend a hand to this driver, and help him get his car out of the street. He hitched the stalled car to the back of his pick-up, and drove, freeing the traffic.

I ask you. Who's behavior do you think was most effective?

Think about it. :)

Thank you, Allen. :) To continue your analogy, though, in this case, a good Samaritan DID try to lend a hand, several times in fact, and the stalled driver told him to screw, saying he knew that his car was supposed to work like this and he would move when he was damned good and ready.

So I ask YOU: who's the idiot here? :)

A small, quiet barfly once decided to make wagers with his fellow barmates. He bet the barmates that he could pick up the player piano in one corner of the room, and carry it across the room. The other barmates gawked at him and told him not to waste his time. Not to be discouraged, however, he walked over to the piano and set to work.

Needless to say, the man failed. The piano didn't budge. The other barmates continued to gawk, saying that he was wasting his time. The man was not discouraged, however. He held his head high to his barmates and said, "At least I tried."

...and then he had to pay up on $100 in bar bets. :)

A guy hears a knock at his door. He opens the door to be confronted by a common garden snail. The guy snarls "Get the hell out of here!", and the picks the snail up and throws it as far away as he can.

Three years later, the guy hears another knock at the door. He opens the door to be confronted by the same snail.

The snail says "What the hell was that about?"
