One of the "bumper segments" of VH1's I Love the '70s, Volume 2 is called "Songs to Make Whoopee To", hosted by none other than Bob Eubanks.

Also, look for Bil Dwyer, identified on the show as a comedian, but best known, of course, for IGaS, as one of the many on the show who talk about that decade.

As the series goes along, here's hoping for more GS-related or semi-related moments.

Not sure if this will turn into a thread on what's covered, but 1971 opened up with "Hollywood Squares".
"I just wanna give a shoutout to my homies in their late-30s who are watching this on Paramount+ right now, cause they couldn't stay up late enough to watch it live!"

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!

Of interest to ABC Password fans, the 1974 edition features a glimpse from a Password episode with Jack Klugman & Brett Somers...even though that particular episode isn't from '74, but let's not be nitpicky about it. :-D

And since it hasn't been mentioned yet, 1973 features a nice segment on Match Game, with props for Gene, Richard and CNR.
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

Kudos to them for the Password mention(don't know if it makes up for seeing Greg Fitzsimmons in a string bikini...that's sure to give me nightmares).

Just out of sheer morbid curiosity...which one of the I Love series had the most game show mentions?
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

Wasn't The Joker's Wild on the '72 edition? I missed out over the past few days and need to catch up!

I love it when the celebs try to comment on game shows and try to act like experts, because sometimes it's so easy to see them struggle for jokes...

Hmmm....I didn't see this - was it a good quality color clip?  Do you think this is from another episode we didn't previously know about - or is it one that we know is in the UCLA archives?

Video looked okay, but there was a glitch in the opening just after the lights went up on the sent. Audio sounded a little muffled.

Checking the program guide on DirecTV, it looks like it's going to be on the 1975 episode (9pm eastern).

The majority of fans didn't know about this episode until now. It did not come from UCLA as those episodes are all lousy black and white copies.

It surprised me that they did Celebrity Bowling on the '73 edition.

On the 1977 segment, look for Joker's Wild, plus Kathie Lee Johnson [later Gifford] as the "la-la" girl on $100k NTT.

The Joker's Wild clip looks like it was from the CBS era, which was making the rounds of syndication in '77.

Also on the 1973 edition... "Celebrity Bowling".  And after watching this, why do I want to watch more of William Shatner bowling.... I must be demented. :-D

Sorry for bumping a 16-year-old thread, but Name That Tune was featured in the 1977 episode.

But in all of the I Love The… mini-series they’ve done covering the ’70s to the 2000s…Tic Tac Dough, Debt, Sale of the Century, Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?, and even Cash Cab were ignored (the former two to the disappointment of Wink Martindale fans).

/Sucks that SCTV, Captain Kangaroo, The Great Space Coaster, Square One TV, and Ghostwriter got no love at all as well
