definately NOT on the circuit, if it aired on CBN it was pre March 1984 when I started recording.

I think the episode has run before. I remember seeing it a while back.

This airing is exactly what GSN should do and remember: Run the internal plugs! The music beds, Johnny Jacobs voicers....YES! And it's not hacked up!

Must have been a long while back, as the last time I remember this being on the schedule regularly was 1998...and I never remember them showing this version...because of music issues.

I remember reading that the main music issue was the closing theme. I think they got around that by not showing the credits in full.

trying to keep this vague and spoiler free, GSN never ran this episode. They ran one episode of the series, one that was recorded a year earlier than the one tonight.

I think tonight's episode selections, were good picks. I for one have never seen an episode of the 70's Treasure Hunt, and it was a treat. Kudos to GSN, and thanks for leaving in the fee plugs. Let's hope they keep up this trend throughout this series.

oh well, now that it's out I was refering to the episode GSN ran some years ago from 1973 as the only other episode they've run. They only had the 80's version in regular rotation.

The closing theme was heard in tonights show so if GSN was trying to not have it heard, they messed up.
(don't start screaming "no it wasn't heard, they cut the credits". Who said it was heard during the credits on this show.)

Sorry, I thought the 70's version was in rotation at one point back in the late 90's. The only time I have seen Treasure Hunt was on the Game Show Saturday Night.

I've been looking forward to this series ever since it was announced, and after seeing tonight's premiere, I think GSN has a definate winner on its hands.

Kudos to them for not only airing Treasure Hunt, which was very unique and fun to watch, keeping in the fee plugs.

I've already set my digital reciever timer for tomorrow's show.

Actually, from what I remembered (from a thread on that far-away wasteland on the internet that we don't speak of anymore), it was one of the prize reveal cues that was the issue with the show never having been run on GSN and not the "True Grit" closing theme.
