Mild changes to the GSN schedule...
« on: June 12, 2006, 07:53:16 PM »
Starting July 3, afternoon will now look like this (all times EST)

2pm: Card Sharks (Perry)
2:30: Card Sharks (Eubanks)
3pm: Lingo
3:30: Match Game '70s
4pm: Super Password
4:30: Family Feud (Dawson)
5pm: Millionaire
6pm: Hollywood Squares (Bergeron)
6:30: I've got a Secret (Dwyer)

Bill Rafferty's CS now goes to the 9am-10am hour on Saturdays and Sundays.
Greed will air at 9pm Thursdays.
The Collyer "Beat the Clock" will air at 3am.

The SP hour on weekends, now airing at 5pm and 5:30, will air at 6 and 6:30 as Millionaire will be on at 5pm, 7 days a week.

Also, they are trotting out something new: "The 50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time" airing Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 10-11pm for 7 weeks, beginning July 17.

Finally, a reason for me to order the sports tier and get GSN back. This sounds awesome!
I'll bet at the GSN boards people will start compiling their 50-show wish lists.

I'll bet that, and that they'll complain about the schedule change too. :)

Looks like Combs Feud is a casualty of this schedule change.

I wonder if Dwyer's IGAS will keep both the 11:30pm & 3:00am EDT slots or if maybe the 3:00 one might see the return of B&W IGAS?

EDIT:  It looks like the B&W Overnight hour WILL be restored with Collyer's "Beat the Clock" in for Dwyer's IGAS at 3am EDT.

So now they have a double run of Super Password?
Interesting....and doubly interesting (imo) as to Millionaire airing so early.

I don't think so.  SP currently airs at 2PM ET, so Perry CS replaces it and SP moves to two hours later.

Actually, we don't know what's going to be scheduled from 4pm-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Perhaps that will still be the "Feud Hour", with one episode of each show.

It would appear so.  As much as I like that version, my opinion differs now from when Fleming ran GSN.  This show could use a rest.  Well, so can the Dawson version, really (that version needs a rest even more).

Wow!  The "50 Greatest Games of All-Time" starting July 17th sure sounds like a winner & a good time-waster at 10 PM during those hot summer nights for 7 weeks.  I have a feeling at least 50% of my favoritte shows will show up on it(not divulging any speciffic number at this point).  If they do show TPIR, I'd be very surprised because they haven't run a single episode out of there in years

No idea yet. I guess it gives us something to look forward to for July!

Let's see.  21 hour-long installments or 42 half-hours covering fifty shows.  I would guess the latter.

What I would like to see is a year-by-year overview of all game shows, that way the unsung get their due instead of just the well known.  Any shows without clips would be represented by photographs from the Westbrook collection.  Doing the show chronologically would allow for new episodes covering subsequent years.

Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Interesting schedule.  The Lingo/MG hour is the only non-casualty of the change.  Plus, we get double CS, including the return of Perry!  (Although, I'm kinda gonna miss seeing the Rafferty Syndie run.  I've grown rather attatched to seeing Mr. Land of Parting Gifts at the 2:30 slot.)

Also, say adios to George's Weakest Link.  Kinda sad, too.  I was hoping we'd see the second season eps on GSN.  They've been attatched to the $75,000 episodes ever since they acquired Syndie Link.
