Hi all, this my first post here on these boards, and I would like to give you all a helpful listing of Nickelodeon game shows and the number of episodes each show produced.
Double Dare (all Marc Summers versions): 482 episodes
Finders Keepers (Eure): Unknown, anyone know for sure?
Finders Keepers (Toffler): 65 episodes
Think Fast (both versions): 106 episodes, although I'm doubting that number
Make the Grade (both versions): 160 episodes, I am doubting that number too
Get the Picture: 115 episodes
Nick Arcade: 84 episodes and 3 pilots, although I've only seen 64 episodes on Nick GAS (why?)
Nickelodeon GUTS: 126 episodes
Legends of the Hidden Temple: 120 episodes
Global GUTS: 32 episodes and two specials (behind the scenes and Special Olympics)
Figure It Out (including Family Style and Wild Style): 160 episodes
Double Dare 2000 (65 or 67 episodes, anyone know for sure?)

First of all, welcome.
Second of all, how helpful is this if you have no idea of half the episode numbers? Just asking.
-
Thanks, Robair.
Anyways, I got the number of episodes produced for each show from The Complete Directory to Primetime Network and Cable TV Shows 1946-Present. Just wanted to let you know.

In the future, when you get information from a book (or a web site, or a magazine, or wherever), please cite your source in the original post.
-
Thanks for reminding me about that. I'll remember next time.
-
Just please, we beg you, don't post like another person here with the same first three letters as you.

I know who that person is and I promise not to post like him.

In how many of those episodes was Summer Sanders wearing a miniskirt?

I've got a couple of those books but my latest one is more than a decade old. Is it now common practice to list the number of episodes for every show? I'm pretty sure they never did that in the past.

482 for Marc's DD seems hopelessly wrong also, as Marc cited the number 525 a number of times during the recording of the last run of shows. Theoretically, the actual number is a tinge above that.

I'm gonna guess here and say the answer is "Not enough".

Ian,
I have the most recent copy of that book, which was printed in 2003, and it does list the number of episodes produced for a lot of cable and syndicated shows.
Also, the authors of that book probably consulted with Nickelodeon for the number of episodes produced for most of the series I listed in my first post. Therefore, 482 is the number Nickelodeon probably gave them for Double Dare. The number of episodes I have listed for Figure It Out and Double Dare 2000 are simply my approximations.
Finally, here are a couple more Nickelodeon game shows and the number of episodes produced (also taken from The Complete Directory to Primetime Network and Cable TV Shows 1946-Present)
Wild and Crazy Kids (original version): 65 episodes
What Would You Do: 90 episodes

I don't mean to be Mr. Snarky by any means, but "probably consulted" isn't exactly concrete. I'll take Marc's word over theirs, especially with those huge TV tomes that are too big to have fact checkers it seems. Put it to you this way: they recorded their 400th ep. for sure during the Florida run of "Super Sloppy Double Dare." Something tells me there weren't just 82 episodes of "Family Double Dare."

Hey everyone,
Double Dare 2000 was 67, including the preview episode and the special Taina vs. Noah Knows Best episode they aired in 2001, not part of the original series run. They taped 41 episodes in Season 1 and 26 in Season 2.
Just thought I'd clarify as the first post he had a question mark under the episode number.

Thanks for clarifying that about Double Dare 2000, Adam. I believe that last episode of DD2K aired on September 10, 2000. I could be wrong, though (that date came from a source I can't remember).
Also, just to clarify that information about Family Double Dare, there were 13 episodes of the Fox version and the number of episodes for the Nick version is very close to what Jason originally said (82 episodes).
-
Okay, I'm really starting to believe this is a waste of my time, and I hope I'm not feeding the trolls, but I said...
Something tells me there weren't just 82 episodes of "Family Double Dare."
And you yourself admitted to not truly knowing how many episodes there were - so how can you now "clarify that information?"
