In yesterday's show, Bill Rafferty kind of admitted the flaw with adding the car game to the Money Cards. The contestant won $8900 in cash, but did not win the Corvette. Rafferty admitted that the game felt somewhat like a loss, even though the contestant won a lot of money (especially by 1986 standards).
Losing the car tempers the excitement of big-money wins in the Money Cards.
