Title: GSN's Saturday Night Classics for April 2
Post by: aaron sica on March 18, 2005, 08:41:17 AM
As per my Comcast guide, appears to be "The Newlywed Game". I don't know what version it will be, although something tells me '85..

Definitely the GSSN Recipe at Work, so far.    For those of you unaware with how the formula works, I'll explain:

In a given period using the forumla, add:

1 Match Game Block
1 Family Feud Block
1 Newlywed Game Block
1 Block of a GSN Original
1 Block of a lesser-played GSN Show
Plus one "themed" marathon every 1 to 2 months. (Raising the Dead [Pilots, 2000], 12 Games of Christmas [Christmas Shows, 2000 and Reran in 2001], etc.)

Mix together with a graphics package, heat, and serve.

Thanks for that post. Looking forward to what they'll pick for the two weeks after NG.  You also mentioned a "pilot marathon"... do you remember what pilots they aired that night?

Wasn't there also something aired like "Monday Night Quarterback" or something like that?

That was aired in a Thanksgiving-day Pilots marathon the year before.  As for the listings to THAT....well....Google anyone?

Possibly, but I know MNQ has aired during other "failed pilots" marathons on GSN, so you might be thinking of that, too.

Dollar a Second
The $10,000 Sweep
Monday Night Quarterback
The Riddlers

The whole 2 hour block was repeated three times. Must have worked ratings wonders. *cough*

GSN has shown it twice, IIRC -- once during a four-episode pilots "marathon" (that also had a couple of the pilots from the marathon under discussion here, hence the confusion), and another time as part of a special football-related schedule that also had NFL-themed episodes of Combs Feud.
