Tomorrow morning(Friday) on the Today Show, Millionaire's record-setting winner Dr. Kevin Olmstead will appear to discuss the Jennings reign of terror. Joining him will be the source of this info, everyone's favorite Perfessor.
-
I don't think the interview ever aired today. Or did I simply miss it? If it was the former, maybe:
-It contained spoilers for his future appearances, and will be withheld until he is finished
-The date of its airing was incorrect. Maybe it airs the following Friday.

SBIFOS this time. The Olmstead/SB interview didn't air today. We'll see if it airs next Friday or another time, or if SB apologizes at his site :)

This is just an uneducated guess...but perhaps it was in the third hour that doesn't air in all markets?

I thought the third hour did air in all markets, just not necessarily right after the first two. (Here in Rochester WHEC shows it at 10 am, right after Live with Regis & Kelly.)
It wouldn't surprise me if some did in fact pre-empt the third hour, but IIRC NBC pushed the affiliates hard when the third hour was launched, and made threats against those who wanted to refuse it as they had "Later Today."

It didn't air in the third hour either.

He won't apologize. He'll blame someone else and possibly offer a column about it.

He'll blame new Today show host Dick Clark.

I'll be darned -- you're right. WFMJ airs Regis & Kelly at 9:00 and the third hour of Today at 10:00.
-
I think if you look hard enough, you'll find a few markets that don't carry the third hour of Today, but only a few. Last I heard, they were at way over 90% clearance.
-
The third hour mainly consisted of Al Roker yakking it up cooking
barbeque in Dallas, another 2004 Olympics preview, two students for
whom Bill Cosby has paid their entire college tuition, an author of a
book about Italian families, and one more set of songs from The
Barenaked Ladies.....

Ah, yes, I heard about that. He starts next April, doesn't he?

The author in question, Adriana Trigiani, was a producer on the Cosby SHow in its final season.

If you hadn't known already, the interview has been rescheduled for Monday. Also, Ken Jennings is expected to appear in the studio live.

Once again, you provide no source.
What is it this time?
Edit: How about a reliable source?

Here's the source from Tvgameshows.net:
Jennings, Olmstead, Steve Now Set Monday on Today
A segment on NBC's Today analyzing Jeopardy! phenomenon Ken Jennings is now scheduled for Monday with Jennings himself expected to appear live.
Lauren Kapp of the show's promotional staff confirmed the rescheduled date Friday. A pre-taped feature with television's all-time richest winner Dr. Kevin Olmstead and TVgameshows.net's Steve Beverly had been scheduled Friday but will now air Monday.
A well-placed source told TVgameshows.net Friday night Jennings and his wife were headed for New York this week for expected media appearances, including a possible one on Today.
Interviews were taped Wednesday night with Olmstead and Beverly. Olmstead set the money record in the spring of 2001 when he won $2.18 million during Who Wants to Be a Millionaire's escalating bonus contest.
The environmental engineer and quiz bowl coach will join $1.86 million winner Ed Toutant and $1.765 million Twenty One champion David Legler at Game Show Congress 3 Aug. 15 in Burbank.

No, no, we're pretty sure only the Perfesser would be so full of himself as to refer to himself in the third person like that. :)
-
What I want to know is, did the Today show staff have to rewrite every one of Ken's interview questions in the form of an answer, and will he be provided with a "signalling device" for the interview?
Interviewer: "Some time last year."
Ken: (CLICK) "When did I first try out for Jeopardy!?"
Y'all know how I feel about the Perf being used as a primary source.
