As per a post on rec.arts.tv, The AMazing Race will be airing Saturdays at 9PM EST this Fall, and it will likely alternate with the DL Hughley hosted Liar. Looks like that pilot discussed a few months back may well have been picked up on CBS.

Liar doesn't look to have made the CBS schedule, even as a possible midseason replacement:

Not surprising. CBS seems uninterested in studio game shows.

Aside from Survivor 10, CBS didn't leave much in the midseason well, just two sitcoms. One stars Jenna Elfman in an attempt to make her role in Looney Tunes: Back in Action a distant memory, and the other is Yes, Dear, which escaped cancellation.
ObGS: This means we haven't seen the last of Mike O'Malley yet.

I was a sucker for the irregular at Rec.arts.tv who thought Liar would make it as a midseason replacement. The link to the AP article in the post said "File not Found" or something to that effect.
