Did the renewal of the G-T library after it expired have more to do with pleasing irate fans or realizing what a limited library they would have without it?
-
It may have been both. There is a letter on this site (http://\"http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Boulevard/5410/gsndarkperiod.html\") from GSN that explains why the G-T library left.

Oh god, thanks for the memories! I almost forgot my Mr. Hostman parody! :-)

It's funny, after reading the letter from '97, doesn't it seem like they could've reprinted that letter for March 15 of this year, save for the Goodson part?

You aren't the only one. I would have had my VCR running 24-7 back then.

I was just thinking the same thing. BTW, James, that was funny. Good job.

With apologies to James Fabiano, I have thought of this 'updated' version:
Mr. Hostman, can't you see?
What is it with reruns of Spy TV?
Fake-A Date stinks, it's plain to see,
It's all downhill for GSN Tee Vee.....
Mr. Hostman, my own head I'm about to beat.
To tell the truth, I hate Celeb Mole repeats.
Kenny and Spenny should go away,
They can't hold a candle to Richard and Ray!
Mr. Hostman, PLEASE SPARE ME!
Make all those 'credit crunches' history.
The old What's My Line is getting flat,
To me, it's all 'been there, done that.'
Mr. Hostman, the old GSN can't be beat,
With Allen, Bud, and Geno none can compete!
If only things were like in '94,
BUT GAME SHOW NETWORK TEE VEE IS NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cordially,
Tammy Warner--the 'Loretta Swit of the Big Board!'
