Two long running game shows end their runs. One week after SUper Password and $ale of the Century get the boot by NBC, CBS air the final episode of Card Sharks(and drives Bob Eubanks to tears in the process), and TNN airs its final airing of Fandango(technically, the last first run show of that aired seven months earlier)

IIRC, Bill Anderson warned Blake Pickett on the last aired Fandango to stop driving so fast, as she had recently been pulled over for speeding. Blake was back on Monday with Jim Caldwell on Top Card.

He also said right out on the last show that he initially fought against adding a model to the show (he used to turn over the category cards himself), but that Blake turned out to be a great addition to the show and that he was glad to be proven wrong.
I only wish I remember who Edgar said he wasn't on the last show ("The voice of Edgar is *not* Johnny Cash...")
