I saw Tug of Words has been bumped to Mornings at 8am, which probably doesn't fare well for its future. Not sure when the change happened, I don't watch the channel too much. I kind of liked that show though.
The episodes airing still say they are new on the Guide.

Tug of Words got moved effective 12/19. Only 23 eps aired at 3:30, half of those directly opposite the world's biggest sporting event. Seems like they could've been slightly more patient?

When I had GSN three years ago, the new show that I liked was Common Knowledge with Joey Fatone. That's gone. I think Strahan's Pyramid was a good get for them.

GSN has announced that new eps of Master Minds will start airing August 7 at 6 pm ET. You may now unbuckle your seat belt and feel free to move about the aircraft.

Tug of Words seemed to be one of those shows GSN never knew how to handle. The first season wasn't heavily-promoted, didn't do as well as the other originals, then quietly faded away along with Get a Clue. Then they randomly bring it back with a new host, but still didn't really promote the show like they do with the others.

That said, I look forward to GSN announcing season 3 out of the blue. :P

Casting notices for Split Second's second season went out a while back and with the surprisingly high ratings it's had, I think it's a cinch it's coming back.

GSN explained on social media that Brooke lost her voice because of laryngitis and had to sit out a taping

A couple of announcements from GSN. New eps of Hey Yahoo will start airing November 27. Also, a new show, Blank Slate with host Mario Lopez will start airing in January. The show is a "fill in the blank" game similar to Match Game. You can buy it at Target or wherever.

And they did! And JMH got one of those holder-dealies to make his iPad less awkward!

I figured they would get Barker in this. Was he ever a MG on WML? Most likely the syndie version if he was.

Not according to the Fates book, and if there HAD been an appearance, it would be on 735 YouTube channels by now.

And it's not just Barker.  Raquel Welch and Gina Lollobrigida both died in 2023, and Jimmy Carter is in the illest of health.  I don't remember that they've ever made this two week run of the classics an "in memoriam" before, but these choices can't be a coincidence.

It's not usually been the entire two weeks, but in past years a few of the shows have featured celebrities who died during the previous year.

Was the graphic (https://x.com/GameShowNetwork/status/1731342529704890700?s=20) GSN sent out over social media erroneous? It made it seem like there would be two hours of classics instead of one, with WML and IGAS each airing for an hour at 3am and 4am, respectively.

Yes, apparently. The block is only one hour with one episode of each show.

I think my love of the classics is well established by now*, but I will never completely understand this odd GSN tradition.  Two weeks of shows, which at this point are all probably available on YouTube from previous airings, airing in the middle of the night.

YouTube's search feature helpfully gave me the episode with Little, Rich.

That's the same person, right?

Based upon height Little Richard was more little than Rich Little.

If Little Richard calls out sick, maybe Little, Rich could've been called in to impersonate him, à la the week of HS where he allegedly got called in a favor from Merrill Heatter to do that.

(tape notes: "NOT FOR REAIR IN 2023")

New eps of Hey Yahoo will start airing November 27.

And then they stopped airing this week. New episodes were scheduled through at least December 20; Master Minds has taken over the 3PM slot instead. (They aired the 3/13/23 episode today, for anyone scoring at home; GSN's schedule does not currently list what's in the 3PM hour.)

One of GSN's Hey Yahoo videos mentioned that 100 episodes were taped; as of now, only 62 have aired.

That doesn't sound good for the show. On the other hand, GSN has announced that its new show Blank Slate will premiere on January 8 at 6 pm ET.
