I know I’m really late on this — like 12 years late — but I just finished watching a 2008 documentary about Flo and Kay Lyman, the only known identical twin autistic savant sisters. The subject matter intrigues me anyway, but I’m struck by their love of game shows and personalities. They have a shrine to Bill Cullen in their room, for instance. Of particular interest is their love of the original Pyramid, and the extreme, giving kindness that Dick Clark, their idol (or as they put it, their “personal savior”), showed them during the last few years of his life.
If you haven’t seen this, I recommend it. It’s free with Amazon Prime.

Doesn't everybody?

The scene where they met Dick is precious:
Dick: "When did Pyramid first premiere?"
Flo and Kay: "Monday, March 26, 1973."
Dick: "How do you know that? I don't know that!"

The Lyman twins sounded familiar to me, and then I realized where I heard their name before. It was in the most well written tribute to Dick Clark after he passed. It was by John Teti at the then Gameological Society (now a part of the AV Club)
