Back in the summer of 1968, ABC aired a prime-time game show called The Generation Gap, which pitted teens against adults (maybe in the same family) to see which side knew more about what the opponents already knew. For example, a youth might be asked to name the Marx Brothers while an adult might be asked to name the musical guest on that evening's show (on the edition I watched, it was Tommy Roe). Or another youth might try to operate an old-fashioned can opener.
I think ABC might be wise to bring this one back for a limited run, given the fact that there are so many baby boomers who don't know things millennials know and vice versa.
Ellen DeGeneres periodically does something like this on her daily show and she might serve well as host for a nighttime revival (Dennis Wholey hosted the original). What do you all think?

I think it wouldn't rank in my top 300 shows to revive. Part of the allure, in my opinion, of the shows on ABC are people who remember Pyramid, etc. Very few people give a flip about some two-month wonder.

Isn't Jimmy Kimmel and Mark Burnett already planning a reboot of GG, or did that idea fall flat?

I don't know that Battle of the Ages is necessarily a strong enough through-line to stand on its own (By the way, BYUtv is airing Battle of the Ages as a game show. You're welcome.)
Trivia Trap's "choose the wrong answer" wasn't strong enough either, but the Pot of Gold ladder chase was a bright spot, and My Generation was too close to Remote Control without hitting any of the notes, and the idea that the teams were ten years apart but linked by a love of music wasn't really undergirding the proceedings but instead just there.

What's stopping her from adding it to the actual GoG show?
I do think the current generation gap, esp. on social media, makes a revival a fun idea. Call it Okay, Boomer. :P

At first blush the range of material sounds pretty narrow. Would there be enough interesting material to carry 13/26/39 weeks of shows?

I'm not sure I'd find the material all that interesting anyway, but do ABC's games hit 13 shows in a season?
I'm holding out for a Hollywood Squares revival. That show was made for communicable diseases.
