Title: MG/HS episode 13
Post by: whewfan on October 13, 2019, 03:05:37 PM
There was a question on this episode about Mike Tyson, but for some reason they "bleeped out" the last name. The question was "I just fought 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Instead of cauliflower ears, I have cauliflower BLANK."

Considering this show predates Mike's short lived marriage to Robin Givens, as well as the ear bite and the rape allegations, I don't see much harm with this question. What do you think?

Are you sure? I don't think Mike Tyson was fighting professionally in 1983. This did come up in the Buzzr thread (http://www.gameshowforum.org/index.php/topic,31342.msg373592.html#msg373592), but I didn't see a definite answer.

Wikipedia sez he began boxing professionally in 1985 but he was an amateur in the early 80s. Maybe he was that well known in 1983.

Said thread seemed to indicate the name was "Mike Midget."

Travis,

I kind of wondered if Tyson was boxing in 1983 as well... it never occurred to me that the word would be "midget", but the panel's answer of "knees" certainly makes sense.

Said thread seemed to indicate the name was "Mike Midget."
Which means good answers would be "Cauliflower ankles" and so on.

Even if it was Tyson, I doubt they'd have to worry.  Took him 28 years to learn about Balrog from Street Fighter II.

Balrog from Street Fighter II.
Who, in Japan, was named...Mike Bison.

Yeah, Capcom wasn't subtle.
