Got into a conversation last night with some friends while watching To Tell The Truth:
Norman Lear's appearance on the latest episode just happened to coincide with his 97th birthday this past weekend. And although Betty White is a few months older than Norman, I believe that Norman may have just eclipsed Betty White for the title of oldest celebrity to appear on a Game Show.
Assuming this episode was taped a few months ago, he would've been 96 years and xx months then. Betty appeared on TTTT further back, but I believe she was not even 95 at the time. The 3rd & 4th oldest, who also appeared together on ABC's TTTT was Mel Brooks, who was also in his early 90s, as well as Cloris Leachman.
In any event, kudos to Fremantle and the powers that be to bring on some of our oldest living elders of enterainment.
