...To host a new game show?
I'm gonna take a stab with Peter Marshall and the Reel to Reel Picture Show. When he hosted that show, he had to be around 70 +/-. Would Pete hold that title?

It depends on whether you count "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" as a game show. The Emmy categories make it kinda muddy.

Peter was 72 when Reel to Reel debuted. Wink Martindale has him beat though; he was 76 when he hosted In$tant Recall. Too bad neither show was any good, despite Peter and Wink's valiant efforts.
(If one-offs count, Peter was 76 when he hosted one episode of H2's Game Show Week in 2002.)

I think Regis Philbin may have Wink Martindale beat by a few months. Regis was 76 years, 9 months, 7 days old when Million Dollar Password debuted.

In terms of one-offs, Barker's got him beat for the April Fool's 2015 PIR (91 at the time).

How old was Monty Hall when he filled in on CBS LMAD?

He was 88 when he came back the first time to do those daily deals one week. I think he came back a second time to do deals, but I forgot when.

I don’t have the exact dates, but I know it was sometime in 2013 for LMAD’s 50th Anniversary Week. So, that would put him at 90-91 (since the week mentioned above was March 2010).
