With the year winding down, time to go over what were the biggest game and reality show highlights of 2018; for starters:
The returns of Double Dare (with original host Marc Summers as announcer) and Deal or No Deal
Buzzr adding Classic Concentration to their lineup (with the Jack Narz Concentration possibly next after gathering dust in Fremantle's vaults)
Celebrity Big Brother now in America, while the UK Big Brother finds a new home after being evicted from Five
American Idol now on ABC, and as the first such show to allow viewers watching and voting live in all time zones (take that, The Voice!); Maddie Poppe won
Jeopardy's first All-Star Games, with Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter among the team captains
SOMEWHAT RELATED: Glenn Weiss' (who directed some game shows early in his career) proposal at the Primetime Emmys...which also saw RuPaul's Drag Race take Reality/Competition Program
The passings of Howard Felsher, Dale Winton (Supermarket Sweep (UK)), Jim Bowen (Bullseye (UK)), and Frank Buxton (Get The Message)
Any others?

Indeed. Notwithstanding the "newsworthiness" of some of the items, either Jonathan does not understand the concept of time as he has put as one of the 2018 stories something that has not happened yet, or he's a Time Lord.
I know where I'd place my bet on that.

It's notable in that it is about to be seen.

WWTBAM UK returning with Jeremy Clarkson

Oh, and TPIR’s newest male model, Devin Goda (its third in their history).

All told, a ho-hum year.

Thank Gawd it was *someplace.*

If you're going to mention Buzzr unearthing Classic Concentration, you have to give the nod to Supermarket Sweep as well. January 15th, it was brought back into our lives. (Any word on the revival plans Fremantle was tossing around?) Given the choice, I'll take CC, of course, but we have them both nonetheless.
I'm gonna throw a couple individual moments out there:
> The unearthing by Buzzr of the lost Home Player Spin episode of PYL (which just re-aired on Friday, actually), and its very unusual (and abrupt) finish.
> A moment that blew my whole family away when it happened: The October 8th episode of Let's Make A Deal where a contestant steals another's trip to the South Pacific in the No Complaining game, and elects not only to keep the trip at the end of the show, but to take with her the contestant she stole it from. Any moment that moves the non-GS crowd like that is always worthy of mention.

The passings of Howard Felsher, Dale Winton (Supermarket Sweep (UK)), Jim Bowen (Bullseye (UK)), and Frank Buxton (Get The Message)
Also Ed Toutant (WWTBaM winner), Ann (Mrs. Bill) Cullen, and Beverly Bentley (Original PiR model); among others.
Cordially,
Tammy

Sandy Martindale, though? Still kicking. What a lovely lady.
