Amy Introcaso-Davis departed GSN in September after overseeing programming for the last six years. With the recent promos calling Game Show Network by name again, and labeling it a place for "warmth and comfort" for the holidays, classic programming seems to be getting more of an acknowledgement under new hire Fran Shea.
Starting next Saturday, December 23, GSN is adding a four-hour block of '70s/'80s game shows to primetime. At 7 PM is an hour of Match Game, 8 PM sees Press Your Luck return to the schedule, Jim Perry's Card Sharks rejoins at 9 PM, and at 10 PM, for the first time on the regular schedule since 2009, Let's Make a Deal with Monty Hall will be seen.
Advance schedules show that this isn't a one-week event.

Is this weekends only?

Saturday only.
Cool, thanks for the heads up. Nice to see the classics get some love again on the network.

Also starting this week, GSN will be airing the annual WML/IGaS holiday block at 3AM.

And interestingly it's a mix of syndicated and B&W episodes of both series.
-
So setting the DVR for the B&W block, I found that Match Game and Card Sharks are occupying 1-3AM nightly, right before the B&W block.
On 12/20 at 9PM, Zap2It lists an hour-long show called "Ridiculous Cash Bash!", tagged new. EDIT: that's the K-mart show, whoops.
-
I am SO taping LMaD. I only set my DVR to keep 5 episodes at a time, so I missed most of the marathon...whoops!

Let’s Make A Deal has been removed and the entire block moved to 8-11pm.

This doesn't ruffle my feathers too much, as the episodes they had been airing were from the same 12 they had already licensed for the Monty Hall tribute a few months ago.

I was enjoying the weekly dose of vintage LMAD but there's enough out there that I'm OK with it. It would be neat if they rotated out the shows every thirteen weeks, or brought back either As Seen On Theater where they dropped in six different shows over the period, or just went to Game Show Saturday Night.

There's some shakeups coming to Saturday Night Classics. This coming Saturday sees Match Game extended from 8 to 10 PM, with Richard Dawson Family Feud from 10 to 11 PM. Saturday, February 10th currently has Match Game from 8 to 9 PM, Dawson Family Feud from 9 to 10 PM, and then Wally Bruner What's My Line and '72-'73 I've Got a Secret from 10 to 11 PM, with John Davidson listed as guest for Secret.

Wow... when was the last time GSN had Dawson on the schedule?

Regularly, March 2013.

In addition to co-hosting the Daily Draw segment throughout the week, John Davidson will be presenting this weekend's Saturday Night Classics block.

Anyone have any idea when the Family Feud episodes were from? The first episode had "name an animal with three letters in its name" in Fast Money and only played to $200+. Video quality at a couple points was really poor.

From July or August 1976, IIRC.

The York family appeared in September 1977.

Dawson Family Feud lasted a grand total of one Saturday. An hour of Match Game takes its place this Saturday, with next Saturday's Saturday Night Classics comprising entirely of two hours of Match Game. Steve Harvey Family Feud takes the 10 PM slot.
-
John Davidson will also cohost the classics this Saturday. Let's see how well he does at this. They also had a clip of him on WML as a panelist - joy.

They're running episodes of him on WML and IGAS in the 10PM and 10:30PM timeslots, respectively.

Well, that didn't last long did it. Considering the promotion they did on this, I'm a bit surprised they pulled the plug on it so quickly. Too bad.

Sounds like this is gonna be our lucky day, USA!

Well, that's incredible.....most would need to travel in a time machine to understand that reference!

Well, this evening during WML and IGAS on GSN, there was no sound during the shows, but the commercials and promos came through loud and clear. I flipped channels and there was sound, so this was a GSN issue. Maybe Davidson was manning the controls at GSN during his hour of shows. ;D
I also had this issue on last week's FF with the dummy contestant who answered "alligator" for an animal with three letters in its name. The main game had sound but Fast Money did not.
BTW - Davidson's hosting this evening consisted of short clips of him making brief comments. IMO, he looks like a 60-year-old hippie with that long hair.

Oh gosh, that stinks! I just watched my DVRs and I didn’t have any audio issues, thankfully.

I noticed the audio was only in the left channel. The video also looked like it wasn't properly converted.

BTW, for those of you who haven't seen Davidson in a while and think that maybe he's semi-retired, he's actually found a strong second act touring the country in supporting roles in Broadway musicals. He's currently playing Captain Hook in Finding Neverland. Before that he played the Wizard in Wicked. So he's still a busy performer, and one who's in high demand

As he's a 76-year-old hippie, I'm sure he appreciates that!

I'm pretty sure the long hippie hair is for a role he's been playing.

Agreed : and he was a tremendously nice guy to interview as well :

Wow... he really has let his hair grow out.
-
Well that was short lived. The latest update to GSN's schedule shows the whole block is gone, replaced by Harvey Feud.

So renewing normal programming, then.

Probably CLASSIC Harvey Feud. 2015 or so.
