It has been reported that Rod was an ambassador to a city in Thailand(forget which town), and he got his TPIR outfits from that city. I wonder if Rod was memorialized in Thailand upon his recent death?

Well, Zach, I did a search on a website that is a portal for English-language Thai web sites, and came up totally dry.

Rod was an ambassador to Chaing Mai, Thailand.

Did he retain that job we he came to TPIR?

 It wasn't so much a "job", per se, as an honorary position, and yes, he remained active with that village during his tenure with the show.
