Title: September Schedule Changes
Post by: xavier45 on August 12, 2008, 09:30:27 PM
There are a few changes coming in September. Here they are:

- Starting on September 22nd, Sunday nights from 7:00pm-1:00am is now Poker Night. An assortment of High Stakes Poker and World Poker Tour will be seen.

- Starting on September 23rd, The Primetime schedule from Tuesday-Saturday moves to Monday-Friday. Everything stays the same from 8:00pm-1:00am.

- The overnight schedule gets a change. That's The Question will return and air at 1:00am and Camouflage moves to 1:30am. Trivia Trap takes the 2:00am slot while Now You See It moves to 2:30am. This will now be Monday-Friday.

- Saturday nights see this change. Millionaire stays at 8:00pm. Weakest Link with Anne returns to 9:00pm. Chain Reaction will air at 10:00pm, while Russian Roulette returns to primetime at 10:30pm. Lingo will get an hour at 11:00pm, while Catch-21 gets an hour at 12:00am.

- Twenty-one will continue to air at 1:00am. But now, High Stakes Poker will replace the Body Language and Beat The Clock airings on Saturdays at 2:00am. They stay in the slot on Sundays.

- One other thing. Wheel of Fortune will have its own marathon on Saturday, September 27th from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Nothing to exciting. Kind of surprised to see Camouflage air 7 days a week with only 40 episodes. But it will be good to see TTQ back.

Not quite.  It wasn't published in the initial post on Buzzer, however, a World Poker Tour airing IS taking over for Double Dare, Body Language, and Beat the Clock on Sunday.

Should this perhaps be September 21 and 22?  The 22nd is a Monday.

/Also my birthday.
//That's part of the reason I know it's a Monday off the top of my head.

Getting Monty's BTC was a treat. Sad to see it go, but oh well.

Maybe we'll get another rarity sometime down the line.

If my calculations are right, they'll end BTC '79 with Monday of finale week. I was hoping they'd get all the way through the run, but ah well; it was certainly great to have it back.

At least they'll get through the week with Bobby Van; that's what I was really looking forward to seeing.

Bad: No chance to pick up the DD eps that I missed the first time
Good: If I read it right, NYSI goes back to five nights a week.

IIRC, that was the week with Bobby Van, Elaine Joyce, Charlie Brill and Mitzi McCall. Probably the best celeb week on Monty's BTC, IMHO. Looking forward to see that also.

Incidentally, what the heck was up with the 30 episode skip recently? Destroyed and non existant? Or in bad shape and not fit to run?

At least it wasn't a random GSN skip, it was a whole block. Made it easier to track.

6 hours of WOF, plus the mini marathon for the 90s marathon, 8 hours worth. They must be pulling random episodes from another package for these, because it wouldn't make sense to pull from the current season they are running on weekdays.

Why not?  I've seen a number of marathons where they've pulled from the season currently airing.

For example, while GSN's WoF tribute for Merv was well-crafted and included some rare gems, the J! marathon consisted of the 2002 Million Dollar Masters, which if I'm not mistaken were from the season they were then showing.

/And if I am mistaken, I never said this.

i taped a lot of BTC79and it's a shame that it will be on just sundays, and it's great to have TTQ back and i hope TTQ is back at its 1st season.

Actually it's not going to be on at all.  Neither is Body Language or Double Dare.  All three shows have been pulled from the lineup.

Wheel's current season on GSN ends on Tuesday, September 30 where on Wednesday, October 1 it will be replaced by... a re-running of the same season.

The episodes airing as part of the 90s marathon on Sunday, September 21st will be from the airing season.

The marathon on Saturday, September 27 will also be from this current season. It looks like the fourth, fifth and part of the sixth week of the season will be aired.

So, they are gonna like they did from 2002-2004 and rerun the living hell out of one package, eh? To make it worse, that 88-89 season ended up getting abuse on the weekends also, so they had 2 runs of the same season going at once. At least they sprung for KJ Jeopardy.

*sigh*

So that's what happened to all my season passes.

That makes a single show that I now watch on GSN, the current run of TTD. And that's short lived, as soon as the repeats hit.

Here's hoping we get a nice run of semi-fresh stuff next schedule change.
